What does a STEM class look like?
A STEM class looks like other high school classes... an amalgamtaion of students (genders, ethnicities, ability levels, interests, enthusiasm, excitement... a typical mix). We have students who come from different countries and have varying language levels and students who are in the Special Education Department as well as students who are coming from Talented and Gifted (TAG) Programs. We have two support classes available for students who may need support and, when needed, we have co-teachers. ALL students may benefit from this type of cohort and, if you like non-traditional classroom settings and love to solve problems, then we encourage you to apply. Our ratios of students vary each year based upon the applicants who complete the process. Between 100 and 120 spots are offered.
